This specific cut lends greater dispersion (fire of the coloured light), brilliancy (white light) and sparkle (reflected light) to the diamond. As a hallmark of the most perfect quality of cut, 8 hearts are visible per the culet and 8 arrows per the table of the diamond using a special viewer. These hearts and arrows are the magical outcome of the specific alignment of the main pavilion facets with the lower culet facets.
